Charter Institute at Erskine

We are reviewing issues including whether the Charter Institute at Erskine (CIE) has invested funds in an Educational Management Organization; whether CIE has received funds or donations from vendors that contract, or desire to contract, with charter schools sponsored by CIE; and whether subsidiaries or related entities share board members, assets, or personnel that may create conflicts of interest. 

South Carolina Department of Education

We are reviewing the State Department of Education’s use of federal funding allocated to the state, primarily for educational testing and assessments, as requested by members of the General Assembly.

South Carolina Department of Social Services

We are conducting an audit of a DSS program, as required by S.C. Code §2-15-64; the topic is child care.
