Director
George L. Schroeder is a native of Monroe County, Michigan. He holds a BS degree and MA degree from Eastern Michigan University. George served as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Army, was Associate Dean at Defiance College, Defiance, Ohio, was a special Legislative Assistant to the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, and was Director of the Joint Legislative Program Review and Investigations Committee of the Connecticut General Assembly.

In November 1975, he was appointed Director of the newly formed South Carolina Legislative Audit Council.

George's wife is the Deputy Director of Court Administration for the State of South Carolina.
